DESIGN

“Beauty is the harmony of function and form.”

Alvar Aalto, Finnish architect

At the heart of my design philosophy is the belief that interior spaces should artfully reflect the client's personality, lifestyle, and aspirations. In every project I aim to meet the unique needs of each client and their family.

I embrace a diverse range of styles, emphasizing timeless aesthetics that endure through the years, while integrating modern materials and contemporary designs. I envision your home as a harmonious sanctuary for all who live there.

Living in a beautiful vacation destination where homes are often sold fully furnished can be convenient. However, there comes a time when these spaces need to reflect your personal taste. My passion lies in transforming these spaces into personalized havens. I understand that many of these homes are also used as Airbnbs, and I specialize in decorating for both personal enjoyment and rental appeal. Whether it’s simply changing a couple of chairs or a comprehensive redesign, I guide clients through the process, curating pieces that make their homes truly their own while ensuring they are inviting and functional for guests, infusing each space with individuality and charm.

Our Initial Design Consultation marks the pivotal first step in transforming your interior design aspirations into reality. In this personalized session, I will meet with you to gain understanding of your vision, preferences, and goals for your space. Together, we'll explore your style, color preferences, functional requirements, and any specific ideas you have in mind.

This consultation lays the groundwork for your entire design journey. I'll listen and explore creative insights, and address any questions you may have, ensuring we create a plan that reflects your unique vision.

    1. Assessing the Space: Understanding the dimensions, architectural features, and limitations of the space, such as windows, doors, and structural elements.

    2. Identifying Needs and Goals: Collaborating with the client to determine the purpose of the space, the activities that will take place there, and any specific requirements or preferences they have.

    3. Creating a Layout: Developing a floor plan that shows the placement of furniture, fixtures, and other elements. This layout considers traffic flow, focal points, and the balance between open space and furnishings.

    4. Optimizing Functionality: Ensuring that the space is both practical and comfortable, with attention to factors like accessibility, ease of movement, and the efficient use of space.

    5. Balancing Aesthetics and Comfort: Integrating the client’s style preferences while ensuring that the space feels cohesive, inviting, and harmonious.

    6. Selecting Furnishings and Decor: Choosing furniture, lighting, and decorative elements that fit within the plan, both in terms of style, scale and budget.

    7. Adjusting for Future Needs: Considering how the space might need to adapt over time, such as accommodating new family members, changing work needs, or seasonal use.

    8. Incorporating Technical Elements: Addressing electrical outlets, lighting, heating/cooling systems, and other technical aspects that impact the space’s functionality.

    9. Finalizing and Implementing the Plan: Fine-tuning the layout based on client feedback and then executing the plan, either through direct management or collaboration with contractors and installers.

Minimal Luxury Interior

ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm an emerging interior decorator with a passion for transforming spaces into beautiful, functional environments. While new to the professional field, I bring hands-on experience from designing and decorating three homes from the ground up and completely renovating two homes, including an ambitious project where I added a second floor.

As a dedicated one-person LLC, I thrive on taking on smaller, personalized projects that allow me to bring a unique touch to each space. I split my time between the picturesque towns of Bigfork and Big Sky Montana, drawing inspiration from the stunning landscapes and vibrant communities.

I am trained in color consultations and am currently advancing my expertise through coursework at The Interior Design Institute. My goal is to blend practical experience with professional knowledge to create interiors that not only look great but function flawlessly.

My Montana Roots

With deep Montana roots, I carry a great love for family and the outdoors. Lake days are the best days, and designing a room gives me that same joy. This connection to nature and family deeply influences my design philosophy, where I strive to create warm, inviting spaces that foster connection and relaxation.

My Design Philosophy

I believe that every space should reflect the unique personality and lifestyle of its inhabitants. My approach combines functionality with aesthetics, ensuring that each design is not only visually appealing but also practical and comfortable.

Future Goals

As I continue my journey in interior design, I aim to expand my expertise and take on diverse projects that challenge and inspire me. My ultimate goal is to create spaces that enhance the lives of my clients and bring their visions to life.
